At Brother UK we feel that it is our duty to do whatever we can to protect and preserve our environment. For this reason we have worked towards, and achieved, ISO 14001 accreditation.
Environmental management is an integral part of our business decision making process, and we regularly measure our performance, and strive to make continual improvements. The ultimate responsibility and authority for all corporate issues lies with the Managing Director, and this is supported (at Board Level) by the Communications Director, who is responsible for all CR related issues (including the Environment).
In addition, there will also be a member of the Senior Management Team who is responsible for ensuring that the initiatives and projects are in place to meet the environmental objectives of the business.
In order to measure our current position, and pinpoint areas where action is required, an environmental impact assessment has been carried out, identifying appropriate projects and operational procedures for Brother UK to undertake. Details of these projects and procedures are contained within the Brother UK procedural manuals, and are subject to regular audit and review.
